Benefits of the ‘My Asset Log’ in selling or buying an item
If you have ever purchased an item or asset of any significant value you will be aware its history is a very important issue in your final decision. For example a car history, providing maintenance and additions gives you an idea of how well the item or asset has been maintained.
The ‘My Asset Log’ used to its full potential can provide a complete history in one report which can be provided by the seller in a PDF file via email, transferred from and to compatible phones or tablet devices or simply printed to a hardcopy.
Uses in assisting the diagnostics of a problem:
If there is one thing people including myself, despises more than anything else, it is being ripped off, taken advantage of, or being taken for a fool. If this is to happen it will be reflected in the invoice.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe in a fair job or level of workmanship for a fair price.
I also understand the value of a good tradesman, whether it be a mechanic, panel beater, painter, architect, builder, pest inspector, building inspector, solicitor or barrister etc, the majority of which all work on an hourly rate, rate converted or quoted to the job at hand.
The key people in the trades outlined above are the one’s who can assess or ‘diagnose’ the problem, in the minimum amount of time. The creation of a solution can often be secondary, when you are paying someone by the hour and they are on the clock at your expense. You like to think the wrong parts are not just being replaced at your expense in the hope of stumbling upon the problem/solution, but in more cases than you think, this cannot be helped, as unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world and all the information required for a trade person to make an educated diagnosis is not often provided.
In this day and age, diagnosis techniques are becoming more and more sought after, however as assets are being superseded in shorter periods than ever before, including by their original manufacturer, service providers are increasingly placed under undue pressure.
Fixed minor bugs.
