iMeet allows you to see where your friends are right now. App uses iPhone's GPS receiver and WiFi / 3G to send and receive friend positions. You can add as many friends as you like and see all of them on the map at once.
You and your friends must be running this app to see location updates in real-time. GPS accuracy depends on GPS receiver and physical location. You can look at frend's GPS accuracy to determine how accurate realy is current position (by tapping on frends bubble). Note that Push Notifications doesn't work for jailbroken phones.
Features:
• Watch friend location update in real-time;
• Ask friend to come online even if iMeet is currently not running (via Apple's Push Notification Service);
• Leave messages on map for all your friends;
• Integrate iMeet with Twitter - leaving a message for your friends in iMeet will also update your twitter's status message along with a link to Google Maps for your current position;
• Show information that you are interested in at the moment - locate yourself on the map, locate individual friend or group of friends;
• Change map type from Google Maps Standard to Satellite or Hybrid;
• Send free instant messages to friends in the app;
• Change friend icon's color;
• Get information about any friend, e.g. GPS position accuracy, location information (street, address), last position update time;
• Show online as well as offline friends on a map;
• Settings and friend pairs are stored on the server so you can share your iPhone with your family and log in with different accounts with no worry about data or setting loss.
