"Spades Ace" is a time-killer based on the popular casino game "High or Low" (AKA "hi low" or "High low split")
It is a game of furious pace, mindful response and blind luck, the mixture of those elements generates a wicked, rapid sessions time killer game. There are some additional rules that makes this game even more challenging and exciting.
How to play
The game is played with a single "seed" from a European (poker) card deck - “the Spades” The numbers arrangement of the cards is 2 - 10 Prince (11), Queen (12), King (13) and the Ace of spades (14).
In the beginning of each round, the current bet pot is empty, and the game awaits your bet. By pressing the “BET” key you invest 1 gold coin, while the dealer is adding his. Quickly after two cards are dealt - one card is flipped to reveal its value, while the other card remains facing down with its value hidden. At this point you are asked to have an intelligent guess regarding the hidden card - is it lower, higher or equal to the visible card?
Had the correct answer? you win the turn! At this point you can keep betting, raising the amount of the pot and the risk. Otherwise, you may cash out by pulling the coins from the pot to your own stash (and with that starting a new round).
If you guessed incorrectly – you loss the round and to coins in the pot are collected by the dealer. Luckily, in that case you are awarded the winning card for using it on your next round. With that insuring your next “opened” card.
The equal selector comes in handy when the two cards are equal, if you select "equal" and the cards are indeed the same - the dealer will be forced to double the pot with his own cash, while you will have the possibility to cash-out or carry on the bet.
