WhereAreYou is a real-time location finder for you and you friends. View another user's position from your iPhone or from any browser. As long as your friend has WhereAreYou running, their location will update in real time.
A user of the US AppStore has asked a very valid question about the difference between this and the free application 'GPS Tracker'. GPS Tracker sends your data to a website where other people can view it in a browser. WhereAreYou allows you to see the location of your friends and yourself right on your iPhone. Also, if you're viewing the location of a friend and you're located with in the same map area, your location will also be marked, on the same screen. Handy if you're trying to meet up with a friend.
PLEASE NOTE
You or one of your friends has to install and setup a webserver for this app to work. It's very small and can be downloaded for free from my website. It does require that you or a friend have webspace available to host the server and that you are able to use ftp software to upload the files and change their permissions. If you are unable to do this, please don't buy this app! There are full instructions there on how to setup both the webserver and the app itself. For extra help, email '[email protected]'.
