Description

Concert Recorder is a stereo recorder for professional musicians and broadcasters who need to record CD-quality 44.1 Khz stereo audio masters without compression or level adjustment. When used with an appropriate external stereo microphone, Concert Recorder can capture a large dynamic range, permitting very loud sounds such as drums to be intermixed successfully with very soft sounds.

Concert Recorder is intended for musicians, radio professionals, and podcasters who want to capture raw audio data from stereo microphones at full quality CD sample rates, for maximum quality.

For best results, use Concert Recorder with a high-speed external stereo microphone accessory, such as the Mikey product by Blue Microphones Corporation.

Hardware requirements
------------------

Transfer to computer requires that computer and phone be on the same WiFi wireless network.

iPhone 1st generation: Recordings made using the built-in microphone will be sampled in mono at 8khz and converted to 44.1 Khz stereo format. Recordings made using a high-speed stereo microphone accessory will be captured in stereo at 44.1Khz.

iPhone 3G and 3GS: Recordings made using the built-in microphone will be captured in mono at 44.1Khz, and converted to stereo by copying the left channel to the right channel. Recordings made using a high-speed stereo microphone accessory such as Mikey will be captured in stereo at 44.1Khz.

iPod Touch 2nd Generation: The iPod Touch does not have a microphone built-in. When used with an external stereo microphone accessory, such as Mikey by Blue Microphones, Concert Recorder will acquire samples at 44.1Khz in stereo.

iPod Touch 1st generation: Not supported.

MICROPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS

Stereo microphones that plug-in to the docking connector: Ideal - especially products that have adjustable gain built-in to the hardware.

Earbud microphone: Typically these will operate in mono at 44.1Khz, producing stereo .WAV via copy of left channel to right channel.

Thumbtack-style microphones that plug-in to the headphone port: NOT SUPPORTED OR RECOMMENDED.

Operating system: iPhone OS 2.2 or later
